Free FileMaker teaching example

Open Filesoft Recurring Due Dates_0.1.0.fmp12 in FileMaker Pro.
Use a working copy so you can keep the original examples.

GET STARTED
1. If the example list is empty, click Load examples.
2. Select example 02, 05 or 10 to follow the article screenshots.
3. Compare Keep the calendar anchor with Schedule from completion.
4. Change an input and click Refresh results.

The file includes 22 fictional cases. Existing examples and saved edits are
retained when Load examples is clicked again; it is not a reset button.
Dates you enter follow your FileMaker date format. Results use YYYY-MM-DD.
Inspect the formulas in File > Manage > Database > Examples.

THE TWO RULES
Calendar dates use the original anchor and occurrence number (0 = anchor).
The panel shows the next three occurrences. Completion-based scheduling
starts from the actual completion date and shows one next due date.
Both clamp the intended day to the last available day in a shorter month.
This preserves a day number: April 30 leads to May 30, not automatically May 31.
Missed calendar occurrences remain visible; no work orders are created or skipped.

REQUIREMENTS AND SCOPE
Requires FileMaker Pro, which is not included. The example loader uses
transactions introduced in FileMaker Pro 19.6.1. This is a feature minimum,
not a claim of testing every FileMaker version. Prepared for desktop macOS;
the article shows owner-reviewed examples 02, 05 and 10. The complete set,
repeated actions and reopening are separate checks. Windows, Go, WebDirect
and hosting compatibility have not been established for this file.
This is a separate calculation example, not an Asset Care product update.

This editable local teaching file contains fictional data and uses automatic
local sign-in. Keep real or confidential records in your own secured solution.
